Simply put, we’re a group of people who are passionate about bringing change to the fashion world by ending the culture of waste that is so pervasive. We’re also equally, if not more, passionate about giving back to those who have less. Which is why we give a portion of every purchase to different organizations every season who are making a difference in people’s lives.

Once you pick the design and fabric you love, our seamstresses in Milan, get to work hand-making your piece. In a few days you’ll have it at home to wear and love. Then we make sure a portion of your purchase goes to helping others.

The idea for Humans & Land was born at an advertising agency called People Ideas & Culture that has offices in New York and Milano. Frustrated by the incredible waste in the fashion industry, we decided to bring awareness to the issue by designing our own line of clothes out of high-end deadstock that was just abandoned in warehouses. We also saw this as an opportunity to do good for people who could use a hand by donating a portion of our proceeds to organizations doing amazing things for humanity. For us, it doesn’t get any better than that.

We look at sustainability in three different ways: Planet, People and Prosperity.

1. Planet: we try and minimize our impact by either utilizing deadstock fabrics that were abandoned by big fashion houses or use fabrics that have minimal impact. WE also produce everything in small batches so there is no waste.

2. People: We make sure everyone involved in H&L has perfect working conditions, employment terms and has a good living standard. WE try to make sure the community that supports us is well taken care of.

3. Prosperity: We believe that people who have less should be helped by those who have more. That's why we give a part of our profits to organizations we can trust to make sure finds get to those who neeed it most.

H&L uses mostly deadstock fabrics that were abandoned by big fashion houses. They are perfect, in mint conditions but someone else thought they didn't deserve a life. You would be amazed by the amount of these fabrics that you can find. In addition, when necessary we combine with other fabrics that minimiza the impact on the environment.

Small batches allow us to use only the fabrics and the energy to make the clothes that we know we can utilize. We could save money by making more but greed is not what matters to us. This way nothing goes to waste.

YES! If we did clothes that you would wear only for one season, what would happen to those items? That's just creating more and more waste. So, we design items that are timeless but yet modern, so you can wear them for years and years to come.

We take all major credit cards either directly or through Apple and Google Pay. We also take Paypal for those of you who prefer it.

We use Shopify payments which is based on the a global platform super secure and at the core of thousands of online businesses. We never see you complete credit card information which is used only to complete the transaction just like in any store where you would use your card.

Yes! You can use Klarna to break your total down in a few payments if approved by them. Just choose that option at checkout and Klarna will take you through the process. This is currently available in EU markets only. We are working on making Klarna available in other markets as well

We make your clothes as soon as the order is created. It usually takes us 7 to 10 business days to get it to you. Think about it... that's nothing to get something made just for you that helps save our world.

Because small productions mean less waste. So, for the most part we make your clothes once you order it. We do have small inventory of a few pieces that can be shipped the same day but everything is made mostly upon your order.

You will receive an email once the order is completed and on the email you will find a link to the status. You can also login to your H&L account and check the status.

Once we ship your item, we send you an email with the tracking number and a link to check where your H&L package is at that very moment. We know... you can't wait.

We offer free worldwide delivery for any order above 50 Euros or $50. All the costs are on us.

We ship everything through an express courier. Currently our preferred courier is FedEx.

Most orders are delivered within 7-10 business days. Maybe earlier if we can. Delivery times can also different based on your location.

At the moment we ship to all of the European Union countries, the UK, the USA and Dubai. In the next few weeks and months we will be adding Switzerland and Norway. We hope to extend to Asian countries during 2024. You can order in these countries right now, however, you will probably have to pay duties and taxes yourself. It's coming soon. Don't worry.

No duty or import charges should ever be requested in the EU/UK/USA. We are working on including all duties for countries like Switzerland, Norway so you don't have to worry about it and they will be included in the price.

All order are shipped from Milano, Italy. Once the clothes are made we hand package them with love and care and send directly to you.

Yes, of course. You have 14 days from the delivery date to change your mind. In the EU, you have the right to get your money refunded within the same period. In the US, and other markets, we will issue a store credit for the same amount as the returned items. Please think before you buy because we make everything just for you in the spirit of sustainability. Returns do have an impact on the planet.

Shipping costs for returns the responsibility of the purchaser. We will send you instructions on where to send it. No need to send with a courier. Just keep in mind that the refund will be issued upon receipt of the items.

We understand that sizes online can be difficult. That's why we are more than happy to accomodate for size exchanges for free. That also includes shipping, which will be on us. We want you to be happy with what you wear from H&L.

We will take care of the shipping costs for the size exchanges. Just send us a note in the form and we will email you the shipping label.
